About

I am D. Reusche (they/them), an independent research engineer in Protocol Design, currently working full-time on Anoma.

My general interest lies in analyzing how networked computing systems handle trust, how that influences incentives and behaviors of users, and how to engineer the interplay of trust and incentives to achieve better outcomes.

My main tools are techniques from Cryptography, (Privacy Preserving) Machine Learning, Distributed Systems and Mechanism Design, and I like integrating research prototypes from different domains to move them towards real world applicability.

The driving questions of my current research are: How can we build practical allocation systems which work robustly under uncertainty? How can we make them adaptive to different use cases and environments? How can we minimize trust required in infractructure, while guaranteeing correct execution of candidate mechanisms?
